Calvary and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church serve the resurrected Jesus and look to minister faithfully according to the Holy Scriptures. We deeply regret that such grievances exist, but in churches where people come to find, and do find, relief and healing from many types of life difficulties, such grievances can arise. The church has an established formal process to work though such matters, which is being followed here.
The congregation, leadership Session, and pastor of Calvary church deny the assertions in the article, but the media and the web are not the proper place to dispute an internal matter, or even discuss it, and in fact Calvary could not do so without breaching the confidences of various individuals. Hence, we decline to defend ourselves in such a manner. Based on the facts, we are confident that the allegations asserted will be resolved in the proper church process in an orderly way in due time.
Dozens of positive references were submitted to the local Presbytery speaking of the good ministry that takes place at our small church, including from women in difficult marriage or family situations. The congregation of Calvary is united and supportive and does not agree that there is any merit in these accusations.
